This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data, including any Google user data accessed through our app. By using floorplanning.io, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account with floorplanning.io, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address, and profile name as returned by Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication service. We use this information to identify your account and provide you with a personalised experience.
Floorplan Data
We collect the content you upload to the app, including hand-drawn floorplan images, walkthrough videos, photographs, and text descriptions you provide to the AI Dream Builder. We also store the generated digital floorplan data — room layouts, dimensions, doors, windows, furniture placements, property addresses, and compass directions — so you can edit and revisit your projects.
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain usage information, such as how often you use the app, the features you interact with, and technical information about your device (device type, browser, and operating system). This helps us improve the app's performance and user experience.
2. How We Use Google User Data
Google Sign-In
Floorplanning.io uses Google Sign-In to authenticate users. When you sign in with Google, we request access to your basic profile information (email address and name) via Google's OAuth 2.0 API. We use this data solely to create and identify your account. We do not access, read, or store your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar events, or any other Google service data.
Data Access and Storage
Your Google profile data (email and name) is stored securely in our cloud database and is used exclusively for account identification and communication. We do not transfer, sell, or share your Google data with any third party. Your Google data is retained for as long as your account is active, and is permanently deleted when you request account deletion.
Google API Scopes
We request only the minimal Google API scopes necessary for authentication (openid, email, profile). We do not request access to any sensitive or restricted Google API scopes. We do not use your Google data for any purpose other than account authentication and identification.
3. How We Use Your Data
Providing the Service
We use your uploaded images, videos, and text descriptions to generate digital floorplans using AI. Your floorplan data is processed by our AI models to identify rooms, doors, windows, dimensions, and furniture, and to produce editable 2D and 3D visualisations.
Improving Our Service
We may use aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how users interact with the app and to improve our AI models, features, and user interface. We do not use your personal floorplan data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Communication
We may use your email address to send you service-related notifications, such as account verification, security alerts, and important updates about your floorplans. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
Secure Cloud Storage
Your data is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure, which employs industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorised personnel and is governed by strict access controls.
Data Retention
We retain your floorplan data and account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data and floorplan projects within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Data Breach Response
In the event of a data breach that may compromise your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
5. How We Share Your Data
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Service Providers
We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing, email delivery). These providers are bound by strict data protection agreements and may only use your data to provide services on our behalf.
Legal Requirements

Erasure
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can delete individual floorplans from the dashboard, or delete your entire account from the account settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy
Age Restriction
Floorplanning.io is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
